The Green Builders is a work about patience and investigation. In a world of fast interaction and instant gratification, the Green Builders rewards calm investigation. Using motion detection and blob tracking the Green Builders calculate the movement of the visitors. If a visitor stands still for 3 seconds the green builders will place a small block on their position. This slow interaction is a reaction to the fast and instant gratification of waving, clicking and pushing buttons. The work challenges the visitor to figure out how to interact with it and only rewards those who take the patience to figure it out.
